月面に存在する水
★月面の岩石に少量の水が存在するらしい。
９月２４日付けのScience（電子版）に無人探査機による光の波長から
水の存在を示すデータが確認された。

太陽風の水素イオンと岩石が反応して水ないしヒドロキシル基（−ＯＨ）を作っていると考えられる。
これは、将来人類の月での活動について役にたつかも知れない。

The Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) on Chandrayaan-1 has now detected absorption features near 2.8-3.0 µm on the surface of the Moon. For silicate bodies, such features are typically attributed to OH- and/or H2O-bearing materials.
